Role Description:

  • Managing workshops with business Subject Matter Experts and technical architects to elicit support requirements definition and document these as technical design documents.

  • Reviewing, interpreting and responding to detailed requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future Guidewire solution capability.

  • Obtaining agreement of documented requirements with stakeholders

  • Designing and implementing integrations between the Guidewire Insurance Suite (preferably PolicyCenter) to common enterprise systems e.g. Finance, Document Management, etc.

  • Managing and/or contributing to project planning, engagement administration, budget management, and successful completion of engagement workstream(s)

  • Supporting the development, testing and implementation of Guidewire integration solutions.


  • Deep expertise in Guidewire’s Digital integration framework - a minimum 3 years experience in this specific area is preferred.

  • A strong understanding of Integration Patterns with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • Experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, GOSU, Java, Custom Handler, Custom DTO’s, Restful APIs, Custom Validation messages, Soap UI / Postman, JSON, etc.

  • Experience in documenting integration designs, including data mapping to / from the Guidewire data model to common enterprise systems e.g. Finance, Document Management, CRM, etc.

  • Knowledge in cloud integration capabilities on Azure (such as API management, event grid, service bus, logic apps) and AWS (such as API gateway, event bridge, SNS, SQS, MQ, Appflow) is desirable

  • Design experience with service interface and data integration projects; experience with APIs, SOA, web services, ESB, BPEL; and knowledge of business rules, service registries /repositories, event driven architectures and batch integration.

  • Familiarity with and practical experience in Insurance and Financial Services business process and service models

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate and influence business and technology stakeholders.

  • Experience in leading end-to-end integration solution architecture and designs.

  • Strong experience across multiple architecture domains and knowledge of enterprise architect disciplines and frameworks such as TOGAF

  • Professional consulting experience
