The Monkeys arelooking for anexperiencedProject Managerto join our award-winning agency in Sydney.Owned by Accenture Song, The Monkeys are headquartered in Surry Hills with over 180 staff, but we work with clients all over the world.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role sits within our Business Management team and is focused on ensuring we have the project support in place to deliver provocative thinking for our clients.

With an eye towards helping us innovate how we cost projects, structure teams, and work within the agency to ensure the delivery of quality outcomes in a profitable manner, this role is crucial to ensuring the overall financial and operating health of the agency.

There are two key elements to this role:

To partner with the Business Management team to monitor profit and suggesting improvements to how projects are costed and managed to increase profit across our client portfolio.

To understand project requirements clearly to inform resourcing,ensuring the right people are part of the right project teams to deliver a successful project – both from a financial and output perspective.

The Role

  • Partnering with the Business Management team (led by the Group Business Director), you would workacross a portfolio of our clients.

  • Manage the overall profit of individual jobs at scoping stage and during the project to ensure overall financial health of the account.

  • Proactively partner with other departments to assign resource to the correct projects.

  • Monitoring capacity in real time for your projects and implement changes as needed based on individuals’ workload, new assignments, schedule changes and project profitability.

  • Work with our Time and Expenses team to ensure timesheets are completed across ourclient portfolio to enable accurate financial reporting.

  • Work with both the Business Management and Finance teams to track and forecast all live and pipeline projects, project financials including all billings and job closures.

  • Deliver accurate financial and resourcing reports for projects and suggest optimisations to how projects are costed to improve profitability over the longer term.

Qualifications

About you

  • 4+ years of client, project or financial management within an agency environment.

  • Proven experience in managing resource allocations and budgeting.

  • Strong understanding of project financial management and reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Flexible to evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes.

  • Influential and effective collaboration skills.
