We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Migration Lead with expertise in leading complex data migration programs. You will be the point of contact for managing data migration initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and working closely with clients to deliver projects on time and within scope. It requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication and collaboration skills. This position involves prior experience in delivering the entire data migration process, from planning and strategy to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to frame the problem statements, assess options for the data migration strategies, aligned with client’s strategic direction and value, and influence decisions
Lead end-to-end data migration programs, from architecture, design and lead the development of the overall migration architecture and approach, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.
Deep Understanding of modern technologies used in data management, integration, cloud (hyper-scalers) and security
Proven exposure to data mesh and/or domain-driven design
Prior experience in working on large, transformation projects in the Financial Services domain will be highly regarded.
Oversee and monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful project outcomes while mitigating risks.
Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and best practices throughout the migration process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, and delivery, preferably in a financial institution.
Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing & modern data platform solutions.
Extensive knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality data solutions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
