Job Description

Albemarle is hiring a Warehouse Officer. This position is located on site at the Kemerton Processing Plant, near Bunbury.

What You Will Do

  • Identify potential risks to personnel or plant safety, reliability, quality, or productivity whilst working as a team to collaboratively resolve issues.

  • Participate in creation of Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and SCAN prior to performing tasks

  • Handling and storage of dangerous goods as per Australian Industrial Standards

  • Manage inventory, including reviews of stock levels and ongoing cycle counting.

  • Operate materials handling equipment, including forklifts and specialized, narrow aisle equipment.

  • Participate in Housekeeping, Environment and Safety audits.

  • Receipt, quality inspection, storage, protection, preservation and distribution of goods on site, including materials handling and all related SAP transactional activities.

  • Picking, packing and staging SAP work orders and ensuring availability to the end users.

  • Assist MRO Expeditor in the creation of stores inventory repair orders.

  • Assist MRO Expeditor in the expediting of outstanding items on the reservation list

  • Resolve delivery issues with suppliers and support general movements to and from site.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ MRO related warehouse experience.

  • Working knowledge of preventive, corrective, breakdown and routine work orders

  • Knowledge of parts in a manufacturing environment

  • SAP experience.

  • Commitment to a practical approach to safety and the well-being of self and team members.

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Intermediate MS Word, Excel.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Valid forklift license

It’d be great if you also had:

  • HR license

  • Certificate in Warehousing and Logistics preferable.

  • Chain of Responsibility and Load Restraint

  • Dangerous Good by Road and Rail

  • Dangerous Good Warehousing
