The EMS is accountable for leading all aspects of maintenance work management (both Planned and Unplanned) which includes the following:-

  • Sustained achievements and improvements in the equipment management process through engagement with the Alcoa problem solving process

  • Major Overhaul Management (alongside the MOH Alliance Team)

  • Deployment of REX (Reliability Excellence Program) to target state

  • Development and coaching in the REX principles of accountable personnel

  • Execution of work management activities including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution and close out

  • Maintenance functional systems and processes – including materials management

  • Continuous Improvement, productivity & performance associated with assets and people

  • The role requires you to be accountable for ensuring all assets in their department have a digitised quality EMS translated into the standard REX work management system, accurately in line with requirements in the EAM (Equipment Asset Management) System and EBS/Stores systems.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant trade qualifications are well regarded,

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build, develop, and encourage success in teams, inclusive of coaching and mentoring,

  • An effective approach to change management leading to positive outcomes and sustained employee engagement

  • Direct experience with large scale materials handling and/or milling systems will be highly regarded,

  • A fully developed understanding of general work management principles and how to apply the REX processes with expectations.
