About the job
We are seeking a dynamic Professional with a background in Supply Chain, Operations, Maintenance and/or Engineering to co-ordinate, manage and drive improvements in Materials Management for Wagerup.
Reporting to the Central Services Manager at Wagerup, this position is offered on a Monday through Friday day roster, with the inclusion of a leisure day every four-week period.
The scope of Materials Management at Alcoa includes the Maintenance Spare Parts, Capital Goods, Consumables & PPE which are used at our locations and incorporates the solutions, processes and activities which enable us to effectively and efficiently source, move, store, protect, track, use and control these materials
Working across the location with Maintenance, Stores, Procurement & Operations staff the key activities in this role will include:
Monitoring and Management of Materials Management activities at the location including Critical Spares Management, Item Returns incl. return of Repairable Items, Lost Goods, Mini Stores, Consignment Stock, Direct Purchase items reviews, facilitation of continuous review of Min Max recommendations, Slow Moving & Obsolete reviews
Promoting and supporting Materials Management programs and initiatives at the location(s) including, roll out of new solutions and processes.
Providing coaching and mentoring to location staff to ensure alignment and understanding of Materials Management processes and solutions.
Working with the Commercial group to support supply chain improvement activities, including transition of any new or changed supplier arrangements
Contributing to development of Alcoa’s Global Materials Management strategy, policies, processes, standards, solutions, best practises and lessons learned.
Location Single Point Accountability (SPA) for Materials Management Issue resolution and escalations
To ensure alignment with the Alcoa Global Materials Management program this role will participate on the Regional Materials Management Lead Team led by the Asset Management group.

To be considered for this role, you will have the ability to build strong influential relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, as well as having strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, negotiating, and the ability to lead projects. Main requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline
Expert working knowledge and experience in Supply Chain / Inventory Management and/or related disciplines, Business Process improvement and Project Management.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
