Want to utilise your expertise to drive our mine’s performance and support us in maximising the value of our resource? Then read on! We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grade Controller (Mine Scheduler) within our Sort Term Planning Team based locally at our Willowdale site, working a 10.3hr day on an even time roster.

In this role, you will be pivotal in providing support to the Willowdale Bauxite Mining Operation by assisting in the planning of short-term production activities that aim to deliver a blended stockpile from multiple production sources. This will include collaborative discussions to recommend improvements to mining schedules and innovative thinking to improve extraction techniques to ensure the Willowdale Mine maintains its cost advantage.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, be familiar with the requirements of short-term production planning.

  • The ability to manage challenges presented by a dynamic mining environment, grade variance and the need to provide contingency planning

  • An underlying commitment to Health and Safety and assisting in ensuring the operation retains its position as an environmental leader.

  • Relevant and recent Production Geology or Short-term Mining Planning experience and be capable in the use of mining software packages, such as Surpac, Minesight, and ArcGIS.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as a Diploma or Bachelor in Survey, Geology, Mining Engineering (or related discipline)
