As a Refinery Process Operator Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in a high tech and challenging environment whilst being provided with both on and off the job competency-based training. Working to complete TAFE studies, you will be rewarded with a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate II in Process Plant Operations on completion of the traineeship.
Our experienced and supportive trainers will introduce you to a job that involves:
Gaining a sound knowledge of environmental and safety principles
Operating, monitoring, and maintaining a wide variety of refinery process equipment
Completing all daily routines and reports
Contributing to the daily work targets being met safely and efficiently
Collecting and processing online samples
Performing routines which may include manually lubricating, opening, and closing valves with a hammer (once qualified).
Providing on the job training to other operators (when qualified)
Participating in team projects, workplace quality and process improvements
Completing a range of off the job training modules through TAFE

To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success you will:
Be comfortable to work at heights and be physically fit (requirement of this role).
