About the role:

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager with experience in delivery of customer and digital initiatives, to join our Retail Solutions team in Melbourne. This is a full-time, permanent role, reporting to the Head of Retail PMO. You will participate in the shaping of the Customer Strategy for Alinta Energy’s Retail Markets business and lead the program of work to deliver on the Customer Strategy. You will hereby drive the achievement of one of Retail Market’s key ambitions and objectives through the mobilisation and delivery of a multi-year program of work.

Commercial acumen, data driven decision making, the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and accurately, and a commitment to stakeholder engagement will be key to your success.

Duties:

  • Partner with business leaders, Value Stream Managers and Product Owners to plan and deliver key initiatives aligned to Retail objectives
  • Lead projects from discovery through to deployment; defining objectives, schedules, scope, budgets, and implementation components (including risk management / mitigation)
  • Identify and Manage deliverables across internal teams and external vendors through the assignment of tasks and clear definition and tracking of required deliverables
  • Ensure delivery momentum and quality is maintained through persistent and effective collaboration with delivery teams and partners throughout execution
  • Facilitate & participate in estimation, prioritisation, and planning workshops

Skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a customer-centric agile delivery environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical customer experience uplift projects
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning tools (exposure to / understanding of Confluence / JIRA platforms will be advantageous)
  • Advanced communication skillset with the ability to tailor presentation style, format and level of detail to the audience
  • Highly developed critical thinking, including an ability to distil complex information into clear and simple concepts
