Our Supply Chain team is currently looking for an experienced Project Supply Chain Lead to be part of the Metro Tunnel Project team based in Melbourne.

Reporting to the ANZ Supply Chain Manager for Signaling projects the primary responsibiltiies of the role is to manage the Alliance RNA warehouse and logistics activities to support the operations and implement a robust end to end supply chain processes aligned to Alstom’s Procure 2 Pay process. You will also manage material availability in line with operational needs and anticipate material shortage for the proejct requirements, working closely with project stakeholders.

The role will be based in Melbourne CBD at the Rail Network Alliance office, with a requirement to be based one day per week at Rail Network Alliance warehouse.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt of in-/out-bound shipments to and from Arden St. Warehouse (liaise with warehouse team to ensure correct parts are received and sent out) and maintain stock on hand report
  • Organise collections/freight from suppliers to warehouse and from warehouse to suppliers
  • Implement and oversee cycle count at warehouse and manage the repair process and quarantine items
  • Perform Goods receipt in BAAN system and create packing lists and material request forms
  • Monitor and report on key Supply Chain metrics – OTIF, Missing Parts, Material Coverage, and Inventory Accuracy.
  • Work package management by tracking actuals against the budget
  • Align and forecast resource requirement through regular workload analysis.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and analyse supplier risk assessment for Business Award

To be successful for the role you will demonstrate:

  • Graduated from tertiary qualification - Supply chain Management qualification is highly beneficial
  • Proven track record in Supply Chain Management with experience in project environments preferred
  • Experience of work in a supplier/customer relationship
  • Working knowledge of ERP material management (master data, purchase orders management) or ERP architecture understanding (BOM, NCCR).
  • Ability to deal quickly and effectively with a variety of topics
  • Ability to summarize and focus on the critical issues
  • Effective communication across various stakeholders
