Looking for a new career challenge? Alstom currently has a newly created opportunity to join the ANZ Indirect Procurement management team in delivering social procurement strategies across various projects in ANZ! This is a 12 month position with possibilities to explore other opportunities in the Procurement scope in the business.

This exciting opportunity is to be part of a key contributing role for newly awarded projects such as the Next Generation Trams project, Xtrapolis 2.0, Perth Metronet and others.

Based in Melbourne, the roles main purpose is to develop and deliver a social procurement strategy to develop local suppliers, SME's and others.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and set up Alstom ANZ Social Procurement objectives, strategy, and road map for the next 1,3 & 5 years.
  • Define and set up a social procurement impacts tracker through the supply chain as a direct impact of ALSTOM business and reporting tool
  • Define and set up a business Social Procurement objectives tracker and reporting tool
  • Define and set up Social Procurement selection criteria for business awards and monitor social procurement impacts related to purchased goods & services from suppliers and supply chain activities
  • Set up benchmark studies and propose process improvements
  • Review of data collection methodologies and propose process improvements (if need be)
  • Set up annual reporting of Alstom’s performance against the commitments of this Social Procurement Plan for the NGT project.
  • Lead and manage the Alstom social procurement activities (Part A scope) until end of contract.
  • Train internal successor

Requirements for the position:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, engineering or procurement
  • Proven track record in complex procurement role
  • Knowledgeable of Social Procurement and soci-economic impacts and circular economy principle
