The Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) marketing team is seeking a data-driven, hands-on and self-directed individual to drive the mid-market marketing strategy and execution for new customer acquisition in the small and medium business (SMB) segment. This role requires the ability to execute against both the strategic marketing plans and campaigns, while being creative to design new and innovative ways to reach new audiences. This is a results driven role where you'll be expected to drive growth across multiple channels while playing a key role in developing an important segment within an exciting, fast growing business.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop a 12-18 month marketing strategy designed to drive awareness, acquisition and engagement of new mid-market accounts within the small and medium business (SMB) segment.
  • Generate messaging and source or create content that articulates how AWS helps a wide range of decision makers and influencers within this segment.
  • Engage with sales leadership at various levels to ensure alignment of business priorities, marketing strategies, tactics and desired outcomes.
  • Lead the design and development of compelling, online and offline, experiences for SMB prospects that are unfamiliar with AWS services and solutions. Generate messaging and source or create content that articulates how AWS helps a wide range of decision makers and influencers within SMB accounts.
  • Partner with Global Campaigns, Partner Marketing, Developer, Product Marketing & PR teams to ensure campaigns are integrated across the business.
  • Prioritise, manage and optimise marketing spend to deliver against KPIs.
  • Execute programs with precision, and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns reporting findings and results to sales and marketing leadership.


  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience in a technology environment directly supporting sales teams such as Field Marketing, Alliance Marketing, or Partner Marketing
  • Knowledge of the Australia/New Zealand market with at least 2 years of Small and Medium Business Marketing experience
  • Understanding of customer buying journey across the lead funnel

  • Strong stakeholder engagement (internal and external) with the ability to influence
  • Highly organized, data-driven and detail oriented
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, pivot and problem-solve
  • Interested in building programs and processes from the ground up and comfortable in ambiguous environments
• A strong team player – comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment
