We are now seeking a Senior Learning and Development Advisor to join our Learning and Development team in our Perth CBD office. Accountable to the Learning and Development Manager, this is a permanent full-time position in Perth with occasional site travel required.

We are able to offer work from home flexibility and part time hours will be considered.


  • Identifying and assessing learning and development priorities aligned with business strategy at both the individual and team levels across the region.
  • Preparing and implementing regional learning and development strategies.
  • Designing, developing and implementing a variety of learning and development programs including Wellbeing@AGAA and leadership learning and development initiatives.
  • Consulting key stakeholders to define and design 'fit for purpose' and innovative training solutions to address learning needs.
  • Implementing best practice training and development initiatives across the region including contemporary training delivery methods.
  • Training delivery and facilitation of workshops.
  • Assisting with configuring, developing, implementing and ongoing use of SuccessFactors LMS.
  • Coordinating elements of internal and external training programs and events.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the AngloGold Ashanti’s Further Education Assistance Program.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders and building mutually beneficial relationships with external business partners and suppliers

About You

People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, training or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing and implementing learning and development initiatives.
  • Extensive experience designing ‘fit for purpose’ learning and development solutions.
  • Considerable experience in conducting training needs analysis.
  • Significant facilitation and training delivery experience in multiple contexts and to different audiences including senior audiences.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications (e.g., Human Resources, Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Organisational Psychology, Education)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders at various levels within organisations on learning and development projects.
  • Mining or related industry experience (preferred but not essential)
  • SuccessFactors LMS experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite along with high attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
  • Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (Mandatory)
