The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Engineering Coordinator (Engineering Manager) to join us in our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a fixed term basis for 18 months.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, you will play a key role in Delivery of the design, engineering and asset integration for assigned projects for new builds and upgrades to existing APA assets including pipelines, compressor stations, gas processing plants, gas storage, power infrastructure, power stations and associated energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a strong Customer focus by delivering the Engineering, Design and Asset Integration of new assets in accordance with the Engineering Management Plan (EMP), Asset Establishment Management Plan (AEMP) and APA values
  • Set project delivery expectations, engage with APA asset stakeholders, the supporting organization and systems so they are ready to optimally, safely and sustainably manages the asset, systems, performance, revenues and risks at the point of handover
  • Timely, cost effective, productive and predictable delivery of engineering designs and services that support the APA Customer promise
  • Manage the engineering & design team in consultation and conjunction with Discipline Team Leads and Projects Engineering Lead
  • Provide clarity and certainty regarding engineering delivery through accurate and timely reports on engineering progress (cost & schedule), engineering risks and engineering forecasts

Your background

  • Professional engineer with tertiary qualification admitting to membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent
  • Proven experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission, gas processing, power assets or energy assets
  • Proven experience in Engineering management, including project planning, budgeting, estimating, cost and schedule control
  • Experience in resource planning, schedule preparation and meeting deadlines in performing project work, cost analysis and technical reports
  • Experience in managing the delivery of engineering Services in a projects environment and coordinating multi-discipline engineering teams through whole of project life
