The Role

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Delivery Engineer (Mech) to join our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane or Canberra on a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Reporting to the Team Lead Project Delivery, you will be responsible for providing engineering support in managing package engineering services and site-based construction/commissioning services support (where required).

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all components of projects are delivered to approved work scopes.
  • Managing vendor / contractor work packages closely to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed budget and timelines.
  • Preparation and review of engineering / construction work packs for tender, purchase and site construction/commissioning works.
  • Providing engineering support during construction, commissioning and handover to operations.
  • Engaging stakeholders (both internal and external) across all phases of project(s) to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assisting Project Delivery Lead / Project Manager with progress reporting.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission assets (or relevant industries).
  • Working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes relative to high pressure pipeline facilities, ASME B31.3, AS4041 & AS2885 suite of standards.
  • Prior experience in package engineering, vendor and contractor management.
  • A working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements.
  • Familiarity with MS project and / or other project management tools.
