The Role

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Facilities Rotating Engineer to join our Engineering and Planning team in Melbourne on a Permanent Full Time Basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead Rotating, you will play a key role in delivering customer focussed service with a value add mind-set that drives operational excellence across APA facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • First line operational support for APA above ground assets in terms of rotating equipment, including rostered after-hours support
  • Developing industry best practice maintenance strategies (RCM) for rotating equipment types, embedding these in Maximo and reviewing regularly to improve reliability outcomes.
  • Developing robust condition monitoring enabling prediction of future failures for key equipment types (compressor, engines, generators, pumps, etc.), and preventative maintenance optimisation
  • Root cause failure analysis and reporting
  • Administering reliability processes, bad actor programs and incident investigations to deliver improved facility reliability

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience (Required)
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance, or design and construction of rotating equipment and associated oil & gas facilities or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian codes and statutory requirements.
  • A working knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated experience delivering business improvement outcomes across maintenance, reliability and inspection of assets. (Essential)
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance, or design and construction of rotating equipment and associated oil & gas facilities or similar industries.
