We are seeking an enthusiastic, determined, and outcomes-focussed individual to lead our European Train Control System (ETCS) system project. The Wayside Supervisor is a valued team member within the Project Management division which sits within our Technical Services and Planning business unit.

About the role:

  • Provide effective leadership and coaching to operational employees and contractors to ensure safety standards and operational targets are met e.g. proper installation of balisers (transponders)
  • Ensure all business activities, employees, and contractors comply with all legislative/statutory obligations, company policies, standards, and procedures e.g. facilitate pre-start briefings, facilitate drug and alcohol testing, and ensure traffic management plans are being followed
  • Ensure the Principal contractor requirements for the project are in place e.g. worksite facilities, Workplace Health and Safety plans, Environment plans, Traffic Management plans, and SWMS are in place for all works,
  • Ensure all ETCS wayside installation works are planned, resourced, and executed in line with the project schedule.
  • Assist in System integration Testing where required
  • There will be a requirement to work away from home up to 50% of the time

About you:

  • Thrive working in a fast-passed environment
  • Comfortability with being reactive to changing work demands
  • Meticulous, detail-orientated, and organised
  • Confidence in relating, communicating, and negotiating with a wide variety of employees and stakeholders
  • Experience in line leadership on large scale logistics or heaving industry projects is desirable
  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or an equivalent qualification is desirable
  • Electrical Qualifications
