Our successful Bulk East team is looking to fill a Driver Trainer position based in Hughenden.

About the role:

  • Facilitate and lead the acquisition and maintenance of train driving and other operational support competencies to required standards by motivating, instructing, mentoring, coaching and assessing employees as required
  • Instruct and coach employees in train management competencies and procedures to high standards
  • Plan and organise competency and learning programmes to meet operational requirements
  • Perform administrative tasks relevant to the role including maintenance of files and training records
  • Monitor trainees' progress and provide feedback on their progress
  • Provide on job training to locomotive drivers where required
  • Perform the duties of a Locomotive Driver

About you:

  • Enterprise Training and Assessment Skillset (Mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in Locomotive Driving or equivalent (Mandatory)
  • Hold a valid 'C' class driver's license (Mandatory)
  • Hold the relevant accreditation/competence in the content being delivered (Mandatory)
  • Substantial level of skills in processing, retaining and applying knowledge pertaining to safety and business issues
  • High level of skill in providing clear and succinct information verbally and in writing
  • High level of interpersonal skills to foster highly effective internal/external relationships
  • Sound level of skill in providing quality customer service

Successful candidates will need to provide evidence of the units of competence successfully attained from the TLI 42615 Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Rail Operations) as well as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
