Your role at Ausgrid

We have 2 new exciting opportunities to join our Asset Management team at Ausgrid! Reporting to the Manager Asset Standards, the Asset Assessor supports the management of assets through review and assessment of their condition via routine maintenance and other sources. In this role you will identify asset defects from photographs or measurement readings and creation of work in Ausgrid’s ERP software for handover to delivery partners and provide technical support in the determination of failure modes and defect libraries.

  • Maintain a high level of technical asset knowledge and provide support to delivery partners on asset condition and prioritisation of work.
  • Undertake data analysis, assessment, calculations or reporting to support the asset defect and job prioritisation process.
  • Prepare relevant documentation to support the asset assessment and job prioritsiation process.
  • Identify opportunities and implement process efficiencies associated with asset performance.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is experienced in a trade/engineering role within the electricity industry, who has an understanding of distribution network systems, construction, maintenance and operations. You can communicate with influence and are confident. Attention to detail, pro activeness, organisational skills and solution orientation are key skills in this role.

  • Demonstrated awareness of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice.
  • Demonstrated capability to undertake multiple tasks and / or projects and prioritise activities.
  • Basic computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools, hardware or general applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
