Your new role

This role sits within the Corporate Legal team and reports into the Senior Legal Counsel, Technology & Commercial. You will provide corporate and commercial legal advice to business units across the Fund, with a particular emphasis on digital and IT related contracts. Working closely with other members of the Corporate Legal team, you will review, negotiate, draft and settle contracts and provide sound legal advice on a range of general corporate and commercial matters.

Other key duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the resolution of contract-related disputes with suppliers and other third parties.
  • Researching legal questions and providing legal advice in an easily understood format.
  • Researching and interpreting legislation and case law affecting the organisation.
  • Developing precedent documents and assisting with the development of policies and procedures.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent law degree (Mandatory).
  • Current Victorian legal Practicing Certificate or eligible to be admitted to practice law in Victoria (Mandatory).
  • 3+ years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and concurrently manage a range of matters.
  • Ability to form strong working relationships and support stakeholders to reach their objectives.
  • Experience with technology contracting is highly desirable.
