Your new role

Reporting to the Head of ESG & Stewardship, you will lead the integration of workforce issues as part of AustralianSuper's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program to maximise the investment outcomes of AustralianSuper members. Some of your duties will include:

  • Leading the proactive identification of current and emerging workforce themes and issues for the portfolio.
  • Provide expert advice to portfolio teams and ESG colleagues to support the identification, assessment and management of workforce risk and opportunities.
  • Develop practical guidance and frameworks to support the identification, assessment and engagement of workforce issues through both the diligence and ownership phase.

What you'll need

  • Extensive experience in the practical management of workforce issues potentially including working with or in trade unions.
  • Proven experience in managing a team including developing capability
  • Demonstrated track record of providing expert advice and developing practical recommendations through research or diligence and overseeing teams in doing so
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and frameworks
  • Demonstrated sound commercial judgement and a results orientation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing a dynamic portfolio of work
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably communicate, influence and network with internal investors, senior internal and external stakeholders, senior representatives of assets and service providers
  • Proven experience in managing a team including developing capability
