Your new role:
As the Technical Services Group Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of project managers & multidisciplinary engineers and technicians, integrated within a Program Delivery framework.
You will own & be accountable for maintaining the Technical Capability, delivery performance within the Anzac Program, and growth of the service to meet future in region demands.
You will have an integral part in the Anzac Class frigate upgrade program, to ensure outstanding results are delivered to seaworthy warships and support systems to the RAN.
In more specific terms you will:

  • Effectively lead the Technical Services Group - Anzac team by motivating employees and creating a high performance culture. (approx. 30 Technicians, Engineers and Project Managers)
  • Manage the profit and loss of the Technical Services Group within the Anzac program
  • Develop and implement the strategic vision and direction to grow the Technical Services Group in line with Customer and Business needs
  • Build & enable integration across technical groups in Adelaide, Sydney and other locations to effectively utilise national resources and to ensure cohesion

About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

  • Experience in Project Management or Engineering, with a sound comprehension of maintenance systems engineering (verification, validation & engineering change lifecycle)
  • Ability to set the strategy, organisation structure, and direction of the Group
  • Skills to Empowering your team, embody the culture by balancing the needs of stakeholders and our customer
  • Business performance reporting skills with a good understanding of EVM (scheduling, Cost & Risk) and contract deliverables.
  • An existing Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to meet the application requirements.
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations

Whilst not essential, a Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a Technical related discipline
