About the Role

An exciting, newly created role has emerged within our Risk Strategy and Frameworks business. We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst to join the team, reporting into our Head of Strategy and Frameworks. The key function for this role is to develop and drive an effective enterprise risk management framework, aligned to the strategic direction and growth of BOQ.

You will be responsible for maintaining and embedding risk frameworks (Risk Management Strategy, Risk Culture, and Risk Maturity Assessment) which includes monitoring for effectiveness and alignment with regulatory obligations. You will be also be the main support to the Head of Risk Strategy and Frameworks in reviewing and embedding 3LOD principles

This role will work closely with the Operational Risk, Compliance and Governance (and subject matter experts), on the implementation of training and guidance materials for risk frameworks. As a senior partner, you will build strong relationships across Group Risk and the business to ensure the development and execution of our strategy through simplifying, uplifting, and training to effectively manage risk through our supporting risk systems and frameworks is understood and accepted.

About you

We are seeking a qualified risk professional with demonstrated experience in a similar role. Operational Risk and compliance knowledge at an enterprise level including incident management, risk and control self-assessment, monitoring and supervision, and training and awareness will be required for the role as well as sound working knowledge in credit risk assessment and policy.

Your technical expertise will be relied upon by multiple teams and stakeholders within the business. For that reason, we require someone with advanced understanding and practice of the Consumer Credit Protection Code, Code of Banking Practice plus other regulatory and legal considerations.

Banking experience is always preferred however financial services experience more broadly will still be suitable. Some experience with uplifting risk culture will be ideal as well as exposure to regulatory affairs and government relations.
