Safety Business Partner

About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, this is a new role within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing structure of Barwon Asset Solutions. The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the business to achieve its health, safety & wellbeing (HSW) goals.

You will support the identification, planning and delivery of projects, guiding teams of cross-functional internal and external resources to deliver initiatives to support the delivery of our Strategy 2030.

You’ll collaborate with people leaders to understand the HSEQ system requirements and develop solutions that best meet business needs, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase program outcomes.

About You:

As the Safety Business Partner, you are naturally inquisitive and highly collaborative. You are an influencer of others and apply a consultative approach with stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes.

You’ll apply your practical experience in HSEQ, including comprehensive understanding of legal and regulatory OHS requirements and able to provide HSEQ guidance and support to stakeholders, developing relationships, trust and rapport at all levels. This experience will be underpinned by a formal qualification in business, engineering or similar. This role will see travel to various sites across the region and you will need a drivers license to be successful in this role.

A safety champion, you promote high performance by motivating and enabling people to make the necessary changes to efficiently deliver our organisational strategy.
