The Stress Testing and Collective Provisioning Team sits within the Risk Division’s Risk Analytics and Governance department and is responsible for conducting Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s enterprise-wide stress testing exercises, credit related stress tests and collective provisioning assessments across the Bank.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the Team.

In this role your key responsibilities will be model development and conducting stress tests. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Stress Testing and Collective Provisioning team in managing and running existing models as part of enterprise-wide stress testing and ad-hoc stress testing

  • Assisting in model development, model enhancement and documentation

  • Conducting results attribution analysis

  • Presenting results and analytical reports to relevant stakeholders

  • Liaising with business managers and owners to assist them to understand how stress testing can be embedded in decision making, drafting of policy and management of their portfolios

  • Explaining the stress testing results to relevant committees and stakeholders

This is a fixed term parental leave cover contract available from late January to late December 2023. Ideally, this role will be based in one of our main corporate office locations (all states) for the days that you’re in the office, noting that hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today. We are also open to the role being either full time or part time (minimum 3 days per week), so talk to us about what flexibility looks like to you.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Credit risk analysis and modelling experience, ideally within a Bank.

  • Demonstrated strength with SAS including model development and high proficiency with Excel.

  • Experience with credit risk stress testing highly regarded.

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to take data and convert into easy to understand and formal reports for senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

  • Highly developed working knowledge of contemporary credit risk management techniques, APRA’s Prudential Standards and capital management.

  • Demonstrated ability to strategically view the business and the impact of regulatory requirements on the business.

  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory standards, Bank policies and procedures and relate these to business applications.
