About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for a Learning Solution Designer to join the Organisational Capability team, reporting into the Learning Design Lead. This role will contribute to the design, build, and implementation of innovative and creative learning solutions to address learning needs across the organisation.

You will use your creativity and expertise to synthesise business objectives into tangible learning outcomes. Determining the appropriate learning channel for the content and using your learning design skills to create solutions that are contemporary with the modern learner in mind.

This role can be based in any of our main office locations, with the Bank supporting hybrid ways of working, so some days you’ll be office based and other days you’ll work from home.

As the Learning Solution Designer, you’ll get to:

  • Design and create contemporary learning experiences and solutions to help address key learning needs across the organisation
  • Create learning content using contemporary learning design principles and appropriate content authoring tools (Articulate, Storyline, Rise, Vyond) aligned to needs analysis
  • Edit content when required to maintain, accuracy and relevance
  • Provide advice and suggestions to improve learning solutions where desired business impact has not been achieved
  • Work closely with multiple Learning Design Leads to support across their portfolios

About you

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Adult Learning (desirable), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or relevant on the job experience)
  • Extensive and proven experience designing learning solutions in contemporary and creative ways that incorporate adult learning theories, maximise technology, and learning on-the-job
  • Good influencing skills, with credibility to influence stakeholders in effective learning and development practice
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple project tasks or priorities, formulate plans, and consistently deliver on agreed outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in Learning Design (ie instructional design) and consultation (with a performance focus)
  • Proven capabilities with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Demonstrated experience with Content Authoring Tools eg Articulate, Storyline, Rise
  • Experience with video creation software eg Vyond or similar and Adobe Cloud Creative will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in Financial Services and within a purpose led organisation is highly desirable
