About the Role

To support the implementation of Autonomous Haulage at BMA, we currently have opportunities for an autonomous haulage mine controller with experience in the CAT Command system to join the Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC+) team at the Daunia Mine.

The Daunia mine is the first autonomous CAT command Coal mine in the world and the first coal mine to have autonomous ultra-class trucks (the biggest in the world).

The team is working at the cutting edge of mining and holds responsibility for the production of the mine each shift.

Key duties of this role will include:

  • Deliver the production schedule in accordance with 24 H plan;
  • Works with operational supervisors and field operation to reduce variance and exploit opportunities;
  • Monitors compliance with control operational benchmarks and identifies operational variations and opportunities.
  • Able to maintain composure under pressure
  • Solutions focussed and strive to improve in a high performing team each day

About you

As the successful candidate you will possess the below:

  • Experience in CAT Command Autonomous Controllers or Builders
  • A high level of computer literacy and excellent verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative, coaching and influencing skills critical;
  • Understand the mining and logistics processes within role scope and the interfaces;
  • Understand site Safety Systems and their link to health and safety.
