About the Role
We are looking for a talented Pre Strip Supervisor to join our Production Execution team based at BMA’s Goonyella mine site in Central Queensland. Goonyella Riverside mine is BMA’s largest mine site producing the highest grade metallurgical coal. Currently going through significant transformation, with the deployments of autonomous haulage and the BHP Operating System (BOS), this is a unique opportunity in a modern mining world.
Goonyella is located 30 minutes North of Moranbah, QLD, and offers the options to live locally, Drive In-Drive Out or self-funded Fly In-Fly Out, whilst working on a 7/7 Roster
As a Pre Strip Supervisor in Autonomous Haulage operations you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined operators in executing the mine plan and achieving safe and optimal outcomes for the Autonomous Haulage Truck fleet. You will be actively involved in field leadership activities and engaging your team to reach their full potential. The role will be supervising a team performing pre strip (overburden), wedge and coal mining activities. Identifying improvement opportunities and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure efficiency and production is maximised.
About You

Our successful candidate:
- Previous experience as an Autonomous Haulage Supervisor or Trainer Assessor
- Have a desire to lead, coach and mentor a crew to deliver of the plan and build high performing teams
- Experience with Mine Star would be advantageous and
- Able to identify improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with other departments.
