About the Role

As a candidate who enjoys working in a field environment of high safety and operational standard you will:

  • Conduct heavy vehicle field maintenance in all areas of mobile plant – Drills and Diggers.
  • Hold experience in Trucks and Field Work
  • Following specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks no equipment as required
  • Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required.
  • Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
  • Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of competence without being supervised.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development, review and amendment of Quality Assurance documents as required
  • Undertake training on regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within the area of competence
  • Assist the maintenance supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities when required.
  • Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable crews to work safely.

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of new initiatives in a constructive way.

About You

If you have worked or are new to a maintenance role you believe that your maintenance future could be in mining then we might have a relevant opportunity for you if you hold the following:

  • Australian recognised heavy diesel trade certificate with a minimum of 2 years post trade experience and 2 years’ experience in a relevant or equivalent role, with experience in a mining operation preferential
  • C Class drives licence (HR desirable)
  • Drill and Digger experience required on Epiroc, Liebherr and Cat
  • Desirable – Forklift licence, EWP, Working at heights, Dogman, confined space and CN (Non Slewing Crane)
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to work of schematic drawings
  • Exposure to FIFO or shift work
  • Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment
  • Strong heavy vehicle field fitting maintenance competency with sound diagnostic abilities.
  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way.
  • Be focused on working collaboratively within your team to achieve results.

Location

You will be based at our Area C Mine Site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on a fly-in fly-out, 2 weeks on 1 week off, 7 day shifts, 7 night shifts, 1 week off roster.

Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms North West of Newman, Western Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym. Swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
