About the Role

The Talent Acquisition function is looking for a passionate and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the BMA Talent Acquisition team.

This role will be responsible for partnering with leaders to execute the end to end recruitment process for the Asset, including screening, assessment, selection and contract negotiation, as well as supporting candidates throughout pre-employment checks, offer stage and onboarding.

The role will support in the development of proactive talent pools, and engage with our candidates in a meaningful way to provide a great candidate experience for those joining BHP.

As a trusted partner to the business, you will have the opportunity to utilise data and intelligence, as well as systems to inform recruitment tactics and strategies.

The role will support our business in reaching its diversity aspiration by talent pooling and proactively presenting female and Indigenous talent.

This exciting role will work with a diverse and talented global team of Talent Acquisition professionals and will present many exciting opportunities in the Human Resources space.

About You

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources, with strong business acumen.
  • Exemplary communication, judgement and influencing skills to coach and influence stakeholders in relation to selection decisions.
  • Experience in proactive candidate sourcing skills using various methods such as online tools and platforms including proactive talent search
  • Experience in behavioral and competency based interviewing techniques in order to coach and mentor leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles at varying stages of a process and perform recruitment process steps within a global Applicant Tracking System and Video Interview system.
  • Lastly, you will be encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement of the talent acquisition process, to enable simplification, efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
