About the Role

We are currently looking for Signal System Maintainers to assist Signal Technicians with maintenance and support work with rail network maintenance teams.

As a Signals Systems Maintainer, you will be provided training to carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical signalling equipment throughout the coastal and regional districts to ensure safe and efficient operation of the assets.

This position covers a large area of the rail network, therefore you will need to be available to travel throughout the Pilbara. This is a permanent position on a 2 week on, 2 week off (days only) roster pattern.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Install, maintain and repair mechanical signalling equipment in accordance with predefined work programs.
  • Assist Signal Technicians with daily duties
  • You must have a strong commitment to safety including your safety and the safety of those around you

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure – preferred
  • A valid Australian ‘C’ Class Manual Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence and High Risk Work Licence is desirable
  • Previous mechanical rail experience as well as recent experience in a manual handling or physical role, within a fast-paced operational environment
  • Motivation to learn and develop new skills including upskilling to Certificate III in Rail infrastructure
  • You must have the flexibility to travel throughout the regions as required
  • A hard-working nature and a positive ‘can do' attitude
