Reporting to the Mine Manager, we are excited to be recruiting a Mine Services Superintendent, FIFO from Perth.
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement with the demonstrated ability to identify these opportunities
- Managing Infrastructure planning in line with the mine plan
- rovide an integrated view of activities related to the Mine within 3 month time horizon and support prioritisation of work in alignment with production objectives;
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Mine;
- Analyse qualitative data to accurately depict the problem or opportunity to be addressed and build out meaningful context and business cases;
- Regularly engage with stakeholders to ensure project solutions meet user requirements, monitoring and escalating variances in project performance, schedule and cost as required;
- Ensure robust planning, tracking and monitoring for delivery of actions and initiatives.

Nickel West operations are spread amongst three areas, Mt Keith, Cliffs and Leinster. Operations are located approximately 375km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. There’s plenty to keep you entertained at each of the villages – head to the pool – or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or from regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West all sites are smoke free operations with Cliffs and Leinster also having clean shaven policies.
You are ready for the next step in your career. Having experience working at an underground operation is advantageous but not a requirement, with suitable project management experience, your background, technical knowledge & experience in Mining will be highly regarded.
Recognised as a high performer who is motivated by exceeding expectations and delivering excellent results, you will have demonstrated ability to recognise where value can be added and the organisational and influencing skills to deliver against these commitments. To be successful in this role it is essential to have excellent prioritisation skills and strong analytical skills,
In addition, the following skills and experience will be highly regarded:
- Project management experience
- Previous leadership or supervision roles
- An understanding of infrastructure in UG mines highly regarded
- Interest in working towards or have completed 1st class Mine Managers ticket
