About the Position

We are seeking a mechanically & technically sound trade qualified individual to take on the role of M1 Maintenance Execution Specialist within our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team, at our Jimblebar Mine Site.

Predominantly desk based, you will utilise your trade qualification combined with your mechanical & technical knowledge, skills, and experience as well as strong computer navigation skills gained through past experience in this role to your advantage.

You will be involved in analysing asset health data to make informed decisions to prevent unplanned machine downtime. You will be responding to maintenance calls from operators of all Heavy Mobile Equipment on site to efficiently manage and minimise unplanned downtime.

This role will see you heavily coordinate and liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operators and Mine Control, to providie an excellent level of service delivery forming an important and critical triage service to the division.

Additionally, you will focus on improving the delivery of fleet performance in line with the maintenance strategy and operating principals in accordance with work management processes.

Reporting to Mobile Maintenance Supervisors your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor’s with, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities when required.
  • Liaising with mining pit tech’s and operators of SME in troubleshooting machine faults
  • Analysing asset health data to make informed decisions in order to prevent unplanned machine downtime on the autonomous Drill and Truck fleet
  • Creating and approving breakdown notifications and create work orders for parts ordering, history and time confirmations
  • Engaging/Working with IPRO – TROC Mine Control to ensure data integrity within Minestar
  • Determining the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems

About You

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Australian Recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate
  • Strong heavy vehicle mechanical fitting maintenance competency, with sound diagnostic abilities
  • Well-developed understanding of maintaining Cat SME
  • C class drivers licence (HR desirable)
  • Ability to work of schematic drawings
  • Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment
  • Exposure to Autonomous haulage equipment (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in condition-based mobile maintenance practices and diagnostics
  • Proficiency in 1SAP, Web SIS, Cat Minestar, Vims 3G & FIORI
  • The ability to analyse condition monitoring information
  • Provide accurate reported recommendations
  • Monitor data trends across equipment class
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A minimum of C class manual driver’s license is a requirement for this role, please note.

Location

You will be based at our Jimblebar mine site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on a fly-in fly-out, 8 day on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster.
