About the Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all BOC plants and installations are maintained in a safe and efficient manner to ensure reliable customer supply.

Based at our site in Penrose, NZ and reporting to the Area Manager Operations, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing maintenance activities across our cylinder production sites in New Zealand while ensuring compliance to safety, health, environmental and quality standards.

Other Responsibilities include:
  • Development of the annual maintenance schedule and asset integrity plans including pressure equipment
  • Responsibility for cost control of the Repairs & Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance budgets
  • Ensuring effective and compliant contractor management
  • Play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, including involvement in project development and site audits
  • Responsible for storage & control of strategic and critical spare parts
  • Lead root cause analysis for improving mean time between failures
  • Identify and implement reliability and improvement initiatives, focused on minimizing the cost of downtime
  • Play a key role in supporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives and directing capital investment strategy at each of the 3 NZ cylinder production sites
To be successful you will have:
  • Trade or University degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation
  • Proven experience in plant maintenance and reliability activities
  • SAP experience will be beneficial
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Collaborative approach
