The role:

We are looking for a mechanical trade qualified person, whose primary responsibility is to manage and carry out maintenance/repairs of all mobile road surfacing equipment, both in the field and in workshops. You will be working directly for Boral Asphalt, which is based in Williamstown, and will be reporting to the “Maintenance Supervisor”. The successful applicant must be available to work both day and/or night shifts and also be available to travel to meet operational requirements.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of a wide range of Boral Asphalt mobile equipment
  • Manage workshop equipment including diagnostic and calibration testing
  • Understand and find faults using engineering drawings and P&ID’s
  • General workshop duties which will include stocktaking and cleaning
  • Flexibility surrounding day and night shift work
  • Comply with Boral's Workplace Health and Safety requirements at all times.

Do you possess the following skills:

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • MR license (favorable)
  • Experience in maintaining mobile equipment
  • Good diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Background in mechanics, hydraulics and auto electrical systems (favorable)
