About the role

The Services Facilities Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance inspection program and repairs of Brisbane Airport’s Terminal and Non-Terminal Buildings (Corporation’s terminal buildings, commercial buildings and airport car parks) and associated equipment, ensuring that work is performed efficiently and in line with technical and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the effective and efficient maintenance of the building facilities assets including but not limited to:
    • Minor building maintenance, including internal and external painting, floor, walls, ceiling repairs and maintenance of fixed and non-fixed furniture assets;
    • Management of minor building maintenance component of the Cleaning contract
    • Cleaning in both Terminals and Non-Terminal Buildings (includes all areas, washing of outside of the buildings, sanitary disposal, sanitisers, linen towels, air freshener and pest control);
    • Landscaping and Irrigation for both Terminals and Non-Terminals;
    • Furniture in both Terminals and Non-Terminal Buildings;
    • Internal Building fabric maintenance; and
  • Manage contractors to ensure:
    • All contractual obligations are fulfilled.
    • All works are completed on time and to a high standard.
    • All works are carried out in accordance with BAC Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and ongoing review of Service Delivery requirements including;
    • Ensure minor maintenance works are carried out in accordance with the contractor service agreement;
    • Assist in completing contractor performance evaluations / inspections where required;
    • Assist with the development of Capex plans.
  • Responsible for the accurate recording and input of data into the Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) database including but not limited to:
    • Assets.
    • Preventative maintenance.
    • Corrective maintenance.
    • Contractor performance.

Experience and qualifications

Essential

  • Approved trade certificate from a Technical College or equivalent.
  • Experience in building maintenance.
  • Experience in mechanical equipment.

Preferred

  • Experience in the use of computer maintenance management software (ideally, Maximo).
  • Good knowledge of airline and airport industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to buildings.
