About the Group
We're on a mission to help our users meet their needs in every situation. Help and support, especially at scale, is a complex and exciting problem space. Canva’s User Voice Help and Community team’s mission is to make getting help and inspiration simple for everyone and every design. Their purpose will ensure customers can easily exchange help, ideas, and inspiration with people using Canva around the world.
This Group Lead role will ensure that all parts of User Voice’s global network are built in a scalable manner and run as optimally and efficiently as possible.

Note: This role will be a parental leave cover for 8 months starting mid-November 2022.

The growing team is currently over 30 people located in Philippines and Australia. The Group is responsible for Content, Specialist Competency Development, Workforce Management, Specialist Quality Program, Vendor Management, and Specialist Tools and Processes.

The Group lead will map out the requirements of the rest of User Voice, and Canva are understood and will equip the group with the right skills, organisational design, resources, roadmap, and operational capabilities to deliver.

This group will work most closely with the User Voice lead and other User Voice groups - in particular Specialist operations within Canva and with outsourced BPO providers.

What you'll do:

  • Group organisational design: Continuously evolve group design to meet evolving needs
  • Coaching: Building and developing this global team to ignite their potential
  • Define global roadmap: Ensure a clear roadmap each season that builds towards high-aspiration long-term goals
  • Deliver roadmap: Ensure delivery of the roadmap, course correcting where necessary
  • Deliver operations: Run and continuously improve operations
  • Team culture: Define and embody a Canva culture for the group
  • Communicate: Ensure everyone in the group, in User Voice and across Canva is aware of your group, how to work together, and achievements.
  • What we are looking for:

  • Eagerness and ability to learn fast
  • A deep love, and significant experience, of solving User issues at scale.
  • You thrive in constantly evolving environments, seeing opportunity everywhere and keeping a focus on delivery.
  • Direct experience in many of the areas of responsibility and capabilities.
  • You can use the numbers to prioritise and tell a story, and you’re also connected with the individual stories or each user.
  • You'll get buy-in from key stakeholders and have a track record of bringing people on the journey with you – they know what’s changing and why.
  • You love collaborating with people from different teams and countries and sharing a vision for User Experience but can also work independently.
  • You’ve got a good balance between big-picture thinking and nailing the details.
  • You’re not afraid of sophisticated problems – in fact, that’s where you thrive.
  • You know how to prioritize tenaciously and handle responsibilities for a wide number of projects – focusing your attention on the areas that matter most.
  • You like to move quickly, and aren’t afraid of fast growth and rapid change. Canva is growing faster than you can imagine – which means solutions that worked 6 months ago might break. You’re up for that challenge.
