The apprenticeship program, based in Merredin will provide training, mentorship and supervision from highly experienced Tradespeople with the opportunity to learn and succeed in a friendly, team orientated environment.

You will be joining a close-knit team with a great supportive team culture who are invested in seeing you reach your potential.

We are committed the successful completion of your Apprenticeship. As an integral part of our team, you will assist in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs to bulk handling equipment, which includes elevators, conveyors, fixed and portable machinery. In addition you will assist with installation of new equipment and troubleshooting breakdowns as required.

About the Location - Merredin

You will work predominately in the Merredin region, with a requirement to work across our Kwinana North sites as required.

Merredin is the major commercial and retail hub for the eastern Wheatbelt, situated 260 kilometres east from Perth. It is known primarily for its agriculture with 40% of WA's wheat coming from within a 100 km radius of the area. The area boasts of natural beauty known for its wildflowers and granite rocky terrain with the area being serviced daily by the TransWA Prospector Train which runs between Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Merredin is a bustling community hub for the Eastern Wheatbelt with ongoing events and activities for people of all ages. The area has cheap and affordable housing both to rent and for sale and has possible accommodation options for single Tradespeople if required. For more information on the area visit

About You:

If a career in Electrical Maintenance is of interest to you, you’ll need to have:

  • Valid ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence

  • Strong work ethic and initiative

  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn

  • Ability to problem solve and work in a team environment

  • Strong interest and passion for electrical work

  • Strong commitment to safety

  • Ability to work at heights in confined spaces and in areas with high grain dust concentrations

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS office with an interest in computerised systems

  • Be Willing to travel to and occasionally stay at our regional receival sites
