About the role

A unique full time, permanent opportunity has become available for a Project Manager – Electrical, in our Project Delivery Group. The role is centred around delivering multiple infrastructure projects across the network encompassing Greenfields, Brownfields and sustaining capital works. You will be required to manage projects throughout their lifecycle.

The position would suit a motivated, practical and adaptable individual who aspires to have a rewarding career and maintain work life balance.

As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for providing design, specialist technical advice and maintenance support across CBH business units.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Develop and deliver on detailed scopes of work and project plans.

  • Develop detailed project estimates and schedules, with the support the internal Project Controls function.

  • Development and maintenance of project risk registers. Identification and control of project risks.

  • Monthly project forecasts and schedule updates.

  • Working with the operations personnel to collaboratively mature cost-effective solutions that deliver the required functionality and operability.

  • Maintain a focus of continuous engagement with project stakeholders to ensure alignment from start to finish.

  • Identify and build key relationships with consultants, contractors and other suppliers who are aligned to CBH Values, can benefit, and deliver positive outcomes to the Project Delivery Group, our Operational customers and ultimately the CBH Growers. 

  • Support the safety performance of each assigned project, in line to CBH Safety Systems and expectations.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Recognised Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering preferred qualification with an electrical bias.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with significant experience developing and delivering projects as a part of the Owners Team, where external design consultants and construction contractors were engaged via various commercial models (D&C, EPC and traditional EPCM). 

  • Sound knowledge and experience with Contracts and Procurement strategies and Management Practices across various commercial platforms.

  • Demonstrable experience related to brownfields refurbishment and upgrade works inclusive of High Voltage and Low Voltage infrastructure works

  • Proven ability and experience to manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Commitment to a Safety-First culture and with an excellent understanding of Safety in Design and Hazard Identification. 

  • Proven strength of character and leadership in delivering positive outcomes under changing circumstances and competing priorities coupled with constraints in available resources and time. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to clearly and concisely articulate information and the ability to produce high quality written documentation.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools and project management software such as Microsoft Project.

  • Experience preferably related to a material handling or bulk commodity processing environment and its related infrastructure is desirable.

  • Experience in Procurement and Contract management practices including strategy development, negotiation, measurement, and closeout. Experience with national and international vendors and contractors is a plus.
