About the role

As a Category Specialist you will be able to demonstrate substantial experience in managing contracts for goods and services to ensure the delivery of outcomes are in line with contract objectives, government and stakeholder requirements. You will work within a supportive team where you will utilise your stakeholder management and planning skills to ensure key deliverables are met.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience working within contract management and administration functions, procurement skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated procurement experience in delivering benefits.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer centric actions that focus on creating the best experience for the customer.

Day to Day you will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage across teams to manage, advise, and guide on contractual matters, ranging from professional services to ICT contracts across various sectors of government.
  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewals are carried out as appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to reach successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate and support procurement activities.
  • Procurement administration tasks.
  • Develop and grow – discover ways to improve and innovate.
