Our Operations and Technology team builds, supports and delivers the infrastructure, security and operational elements that empower Citi to pursue our mission of enabling growth and economic progress. Our teams are embedded in the functions and businesses to deliver the optimal tools and environments, allowing Citi to be the best for our clients.

In this role you will assist in providing key guidance on Divestiture Operations in relation to legacy Consumer business, responsible for ensuring effective processing and reporting is in place for the transitional services agreement (TSA) period of up to 30 months and in some cases beyond.

In this role, you're expected to:

  • Operationalise a new Divestiture Operations function within Operations & Technology to support the AU Divestiture Transition aligned and harmonised to the Regional Damselfly operating model

  • Assist in testing, building and reviewing operations functional process to support new ways of working in a Divestiture

  • Work closely with region Legacy (Consumer) Operations and Operations and Technology. Share learnings / experiences with region on the AU divestiture Operations function.

  • Promote a positive and committed team environment to underpin strong employee engagement

  • Maintain a credible profile as a positive role model to others

  • Assist in building and co-ordinating the execution of the business implementation plan

  • Ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place

  • Ensure the business unit maintains the ethical standards contained in the Citi Code of Conduct

  • Assist in Managing the overall operational process for the department

  • Assist in developing and fostering governance framework and controls across the onshore team and the Australian support staff in our offshore vendor and affiliate Centre of Excellence (COE) teams that support Australian processes and business.

  • Drive process efficiency, standardisation, and common practices across the team in-conjunction with our regional partners.

  • Oversight of the reconciliation and settlement process for the divested business

  • Operational activities of legacy activities required for the duration of the TSA period

  • Ensure the business unit adheres to other relevant policies and procedures (e.g. RCCPM, Continuity of Business, Code of Conduct, Information Security).

  • Adhere to relevant AML, Sanctions and KYC policies (local and Regional) as guided by AML Compliance.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Ability to conceptualise and execute on the business objectives & outcomes

  • Proven negotiation and presentation skills

  • Ability to influence and co-ordinate multiple internal & external stakeholders around a common goal

  • Previous exposure to similar functions is an advantage, including operational processes

  • Strong knowledge of financial products and services within Consumer Banking

  • Track record in delivering results – recognised for strong execution skills

  • Excellent client skills and strong stakeholder management

  • Results driven with strong drive and finely tuned business judgement

  • Sets standards for product and service delivery

  • Experience in operating internationally across large organisations

  • Working with teams both onshore and offshore

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - ability to interact and facilitate across diverse audiences

  • Strong capability in building relationships – externally and at all levels of the organisation

  • Superior problem identification and resolving ability

  • Demonstrates a high degree of ownership

  • Superior time management and prioritisation capabilities
