Permit to Work Advisor

We have a great opportunity for a Permit to Work Officer to join the team! In this role, you will effectively support the HSSE Team and be responsible for managing the permit to work system and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with the permit policies and procedures.

Your focus will include: 

  • Providing technical expertise for development and implementation of the Permit to Work System and associated training programs for the onshore Wheatstone Upstream Hook-Up and Commissioning services

  • Coordinating and issuing all permits in accordance with the Permit to Work procedure

  • Regular audits to ensure compliance with the Permit to Work system

  • Acting as initial contact for conflicting work activities, isolation boundaries and potentially hazardous operations

  • Attending Permit to Work meetings to ensure review and signing by signatories ready for permit issue

What you will bring to the team: 

  • 5 + years of permit to work experience in the construction or mining industry

  • Experience as a permit to work officer on major projects

  • Electrical or mechanical trade qualification preferred

  • Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety

  • Strong understanding of high risk lockout procedures
