About the role

In this role you’ll lead the Distribution Centre finance and commercial function supporting the DC Manager’s and the operations teams within the NSW Distribution centre located in Smeaton Grange near Campbelltown NSW.
You will lead the budgeting process in Distribution Centre’s on behalf of finance including establishing clear KPI's cost reduction initiatives and useful tools an analysis to enable better planning and decision making.

What you’ll be doing

To work as a team player, influencing and engaging across the business to provide commercial finance support including ongoing analysis, drive change, provide decision support, planning, and forecasting.

Support the supply chain finance team in delivering key programmes of work which drive efficiencies and cost reductions within a safe working environment.

Working in partnership with the DCM’s and supply chain project managers across the business to embed central initiatives with commercial decision support, governance, and ensuring operations strategies and initiatives deliver benefit for the network.

  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities across the DC ongoing and work with the business to implement risk mitigation plans and provide insight and visibility into drivers of performance to improve commercial outcomes
  • Ensure that all business plans, budgets, and regular reporting across supply are accurate, delivered on time and meet the needs / drives the performance of the business

Good things you’ll need

  • Experience Supply Chain & Logistics preferred.

  • A relevant Degree or Qualification, CA or CPA equivalent desirable

  • Strong IT skills (Access, Excel, SAP, TM1 – would be ideal)

  • Finance experience in a retail environment desirable but not essential.

  • A strong career history in a Commercial role

  • Varied finance background covering financial control, financial reporting, planning & analysis and business partnering.

  • Experience in influencing to improve the strategic direction and performance of the business.

  • Experience in driving organisational change, influencing key business partners and drive business change

  • Experience analysing data to develop meaningful commercial insights
