About the team

We are on the lookout for an experienced Network Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest corporate networks. In joining Coles, you will gain the opportunity to work on essential Voice technologies services and solutions and offer ongoing support for complex issues across Coles’ wider Voice and Data Network Support Team.

About the role 

                                                                                                     

Reporting to the Team Lead – Network Experience, you will provide technical experience across complex and business-enabling Voice initiatives and offer ongoing operational and project support across a large and complex network environment.

This role will see you become the catalyst in building and configurating the Coles Network, with a focus on Voice technologies. You will also provide Level 3 operational network support including changes, tasks, and incidents. 

About you

As the Network Engineer, you will offer operational and project support across Coles’ large and mission-critical Voice network. Joining a team of seasoned and highly experienced engineers, you will provide support through the lifecycle of large enterprise networks by working on business-critical issues across multiple offices, distribution centres, technical picking sites, and retail locations. 

You will be the main escalation point for Level 3 operational support on any Voice related issue or service and provide the best network and network support experience to Coles’ team members, and its partners and customers.

You’ll also have:

  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco network technologies such as routing and switching - essential.

  • Commercial expertise working across a large corporate network environment working on new Voice projects, and offering Level 3 support across Cisco Voice solutions - essential.  

  • A drive to learn and develop new skills across other network related services and solutions.

  • Experience in supporting management, stakeholders, and vendors across functional and technical issues.

Good things you’ll need

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Network Engineer with proven experience in supporting Level 3 operational initiatives across Cisco – Voice. You will have proven capability in implementing and maintaining enterprise level network services in a large-scale, complex, and distributed business environment.

You are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a busy and complex operational network environment, while offering complex and system-critical support and advice across a large Voice network and infrastructure. 

You’ll also need

  • Previous experience in Level 3 support across Cisco Voice technology.

  • Building, maintaining, and securing Voice and associated environments required (including CUCM, CUPS, Webex, Expressway)

  • Programming knowledge (Python/Javascript/Shell Scripting/Go)

  • Delivering network tasks in projects.

  • Working in an environment with a Network Operations Centre.

  • Communicating effectively within the team, and in cross team engagements.
