The Opportunity:

Are you a Graduate that is interested in a career in the construction industry? Have you studied either Engineering or Finance? Got a passion for Procurement and adding value through analysis? Then we want to hear from you.

The opportunity will be part of the CPB Contractors two-year graduate plan. You will commence in the corporate head office & travelling to various projects and spend a year as a Project Controls Analyst , working within the corporate team on forecasting, cost control and finance reporting. You will then do a rotation on project to build your experience, exposure and understanding of the ways of working in the construction industry.

We are looking for a Civil Engineering, and/or Finance Graduate that wishes to develop and apply capability in commercial and financial control of projects.

What will the role involve:

  • Analysing data from the business operational systems and developing meaningful insights for stakeholders across (Projects, Business Unit, Corporate & CIMIC)
  • Building user friendly models to analyse Project and Business Unit performance.
  • Assisting the FP&A Manager with process automation and systems integration
  • Partner with Projects, Corporate and Business Unit teams to provide insights and to ensure data is accurate, relevant and timely
  • Preparing Monthly and Quarterly FP&A management reports including results presentations, quarterly wrap-up reports, project dashboards / initiatives / strategies
  • Analysing CPB’s pipeline of work and forecasting of Work In Hand
  • Gaining an understanding of finance systems including JDE (ERP), Rover (Daily time and Quantity control), FPM (Project Forecasting) and BI.
