The Compliance Manager - Hospitality is responsible for managing and demonstrating risk leadership and culture, and taking accountability for leading compliance activities across all areas of the business. This includes analysing current compliance processes and implementing new systems to improve compliance regulation and risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, reporting on compliance activity requirements, creating compliance reports and providing updates to the Hospitality Executive Team and COO.

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for Liquor Licence management across the Crown Melbourne complex inclusive of Hospitality and Crown Gifts Including ensuring staff RSA certificates and training are up-to-date and displayed in a manner that is appropriate.

  • Support the leadership team across all areas of the business by implementing and supporting all agreed and approved processes.

    Monthly reporting for compliance including CURA, conducting meetings with Business Unit Managers

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies and procedures in relation to (but not limited to) Anti-Money Laundering, COVID-19 and VGCCC, Food Safety and OH&S requirements

    • Ensure compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies and procedures in relation to Responsible Service of Gaming (including training), and the Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct.

      Ensure the management group conforms and take responsibility for reporting any actual or potential issues

        Work collaboratively with BU leaders to collaborate on proposals, improvements, policies and procedures.

        The following criteria will be considered when reviewing applicants:

        • A high level of knowledge of Hotels, Retail and Food & Beverage operations is essential.

        • Experience in working in a compliance related environment is preferred.

        • Flexibility to cope with rapidly changing priorities.

        • Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple stakeholders and complexity

        • Demonstrated comfort around higher management (general and executive management)
