The Golf Operations Assistant is accountable for the efficient and professional business operations at Melbourne Golf Academy on a nightly basis, whilst providing customers with an exceptional level of service that meets and exceeds their expectations at every opportunity. Through this level of service, the Melbourne Golf Academy aims to maintain a reputation as the ‘finest driving range and golfing facility in Australia.  

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and greet all customers, creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

  • Anticipate the needs of customers and provide a level of service that exceeds all guests’ expectations.

  • Role model and reinforce Crown’s customer service values

  • Assist guests by providing information on all facilities offered at Melbourne Golf Academy

  • Opening and Closing the premises

  • Manage the daily cash/EFT reconciliations

  • Oversee and enforce all company policies and procedures

  • Ensure our facility is maintained to the highest standard

  • Monitor our competitors both domestic and international for pricing, trends, etc.

  • Utilise performance management processes to identify and celebrate consistently high performance and actively manage sub-standard performance.

The following criteria will be considered when reviewing applicants:

  • Have strong knowledge of all aspects of golf operations including competition golf management and administration.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, lead and motivate staff.

  • Clear and precise communication skills.

  • A proactive nature.
