The Category Lead for Facility Services is responsible for overseeing the Facilities Management and minor CapEx Spend across the Crown Melbourne Complex. Reporting to the Group Category Manager – Facility Services, you will drive execution of strategic commodity plans with a high focus on strategic sourcing, integrating supply strategies with internal client’s business requirements and long-term strategies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive strategic sourcing events with the key focus on optimizing cost, quality, delivery & technology standards
  • Oversee the day-to-day sourcing of new services and special sourcing
  • Liaise with business units to gain understanding of product and service offering needs
  • Provide leadership and innovation from a sourcing perspective
  • Review supplier offerings for innovative products to reduce costs
  • Adhere to supplier risk management
  • Partner with stakeholders, and the SRM Leads, to drive KPI performance reviews and continuous improvement with key suppliers
  • Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers
  • Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships
  • Review and validate the market updates to internal customers on status of products
  • Support Purchasing in delivery of consistent service, policy and process
  • Prepare monthly status reports on work undertaken and planned

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a Business/ Commerce/Quantity Surveying/Facility Management discipline highly regarded
  • Experience in Contract Preparation and Sourcing & Tendering within an Organisation with property, facility management and/or construction projects of at least 3 years
  • A track record in identifying and delivering sustained cost reduction opportunities
