THE OPPORTUNITY

The Contracts Manager – Asset Management is responsible for effectively managing the procurement and contracting, partners and processes to maximize value for CS Energy within the parameters of agreed commercially acceptable risk levels. An integral part in the delivery of CS Energy’s core objective of safe, reliable cost-effective production of electricity and the long-term management of its assets, the Contracts Manager – Asset Management will ensure contract management systems are utilized to safeguard delivery of the benefits captured in executed contracts.

  • Maintain oversight and act a principle representative as required to ensure contracted work packages are aligned with the condition of contract.
  • Ensure commercial governance and oversight on partnership agreements
  • Support other divisions including future energy when required
  • Manage the commercial aspects of programs of works including outages / construction contracts at values of $0.2 to $50 million
  • Effectively manage overhaul works, support contractors and assist standalone services to deliver optimal outcomes
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure project briefs are commercially sound
  • Develop and review contract documents, reviews tenders and make recommendations for improvement
  • Manage contract handover to the delivery team and provide contract management services the execution of the contracts.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role you will have the following:

  • Degree qualifications, preferably in a commercial, engineering, construction management discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement / contract management position within a construction or heavy industry environment
  • Experience utilising the contemporary procurement and contracts tools and techniques to maximise benefits for all parties
  • Ability to conceive, articulate, advise and deliver continuous improvements in service provider performance
  • Advanced contract negotiation skills and written and oral communication ability
  • High level interpersonal and engagement skills with a strong proven ability to achieve in a team environment
  • Practicable knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, standards and practices and BCIPA regulations and the proven ability to apply them in an operating environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the development and operation of project controls
  • Conceptualisation and utilisation ok contract KPI schemes.
