In line with CS Energy’s Safety Values, as the Health and Safety Specialist you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety excellence and well being at CS Energy Power Stations. You will drive and support the implementation of the CS Energy Safety and Health Strategies in accordance with CS Energy’s frameworks and Queensland legislation.

Key role elements include:

  • Provide expert advice and safety leadership to improve, promote, educate and advise on health and safety;
  • Develop close relationships with the Site Leadership team, to understand the site and support initiatives to prevent working towards proactive injury prevention;
  • Provide hands-on support to key stakeholders to drive achievement of health and safety improvement and culture across the site;
  • Assist with the incident management and reporting process advising on recommendations for corrective actions;
  • Assist in managing the Alcohol and other drugs testing process using gate access systems;
  • Provide advice and lead the Rehabilitation and Return to Work process for work and non-work-related injury.

Reporting to the Business Partner – Health and Safety, you will be a key person in the Health and Safety team to support culture transformation at CS Energy Power Stations through to world class safety


  • Experience working as part of an H&S team on a power station site or industrial equivalent.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent in health and safety or relevant field is required.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Accessing would be an advantage.
  • A current Senior First Aid Officer certificate would be an advantage.
  • Current training in alcohol and other drug tester would be an advantage.
  • Current Rehabilitation and Return to work Coordinator qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a similar H&S role (3-5+ Years) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislative requirements, standards and practices.
